We are thrilled to announce that several of our talented junior players have been selected to be part of the Caledonian Highlanders North Squad Winter Training Programme as part of the Cricket Scotland Performance Pathway.
This is a great achievement and a testament to their hard work, skill, and dedication to their cricket, and their inclusion will allow them to focus on their technical development, match readiness and personal growth ahead of the 2025 season.
The Caledonian Highlanders North Squad Winter Training Programme will run every Saturday up until April 2025 and is a fantastic opportunity for our young players to develop their skills and receive expert coaching from former 1st XI bowler, Tony McKenna, who is the Lead Coach and our new Director of Cricket, Kenny Reid, who is the support coach. Being chosen for this programme is a sign of their potential and the bright futures ahead of them in their cricketing careers.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following players:

The inclusion of these 10 players in this training group also makes them eligible to attend National team trials over the next few weekends, to earn a place in the relevant Cricket Scotland Age Group Squad Winter Training Programme and we are incredibly proud to have them representing our club. We know they will make the most of this fantastic opportunity, learning and growing from the experience.
As a club, we are committed to supporting the development of our junior cricketers, and this recognition is a testament to the strength of our youth programme. We wish our players the very best of luck as they begin their training journey, and we look forward to seeing them continue to excel and inspire others.
