Aberdeenshire Cricket Club is celebrating a £12,104 funding boost from SUEZ Communities Trust for our All-Weather Non-Turf Pitch Redevelopment project.

This project will redevelop part of the ground with a new all weather non turf pitch on our site. This will allow hundreds of junior and senior playing members, in addition to the wider community, such as schools and other community groups, to access the sporting facility more regularly. Unfortunately, the weather can often intervene with sporting opportunities for the members of the community. Having a non turf surface will allow the facility to be more accessible, even during adverse weather.

Bob Buchan, Junior Convener of Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, said: “With an increasing number of boys and girls attending our junior coaching sessions and our existing practice facilities requiring replacement. We are hugely grateful to SUEZ Communities Trust for the support they have provided, the installation of the new practice pitch will allow Aberdeenshire Cricket Club to increase participation in cricket”.
